MA3-072 detects TATA-Binding Protein (TBP) Associated Factor 12 in human samples.
It has been successfully used in Western blot, immunofluorescence, and flow cytometry applications.
The immunogen is recombinant human TAF12 protein with the epitope localized at the C-terminal part of TAF12.
Target Information
TAF12 is involved in the control of transcription by RNA polymerase II through the basal transcription machinery, a complex of proteins that interact with RNA polymerase II and transactivator proteins.
These complexes are modulated by cis-regulatory elements near transcription start sites.
TAF12 interacts directly with TBP and TAF2I and is part of the TFIID complex, contributing to transcriptional activation of various gene promoters.
