Target Information
CD45RB is a receptor-type protein tyrosine phosphatase belonging to the CD45 glycoprotein family. CD45 plays a crucial role in lymphocyte development and antigen signaling, acting as a regulator of Src-family kinases. It promotes cell survival through modulation of integrin-mediated signal transduction and participates in DNA fragmentation during apoptosis.
CD45 isoforms differ in their extracellular domains but share identical transmembrane and cytoplasmic regions. Their expression varies depending on cell type and physiological state. CD45RB is expressed in microglia and inflammatory cells and is involved in immunoreceptor signaling. CD45 is expressed on all human hematopoietic cells except mature red blood cells.
