The Applied Biosystems™ Human HPRT1 (HGPRT) Endogenous Control (VIC™/MGB Probe, Primer Limited) is intended as an endogenous control for relative gene expression quantification in cDNA samples when used with other gene expression assays.
Probe is labeled with VIC™ dye - MGB and the primers are limited. Can be used for multiplex or singleplex PCR reactions.
This endogenous control is compatible with Inventoried and Non-Inventoried TaqMan™ Gene Expression Assays, Custom TaqMan™ Gene Expression Assays, and/or Custom TaqMan™ Primers and Probes.

Simple to Use

All components are QC tested, formulated into a single 20X mix, and functionally tested.
Compatible with universal conditions for two-step RT-PCR.
Use with TaqMan™ Universal PCR Master Mix (with or without AmpErase™ UNG) and cDNA samples for sensitive, reproducible, and quantitative data on Applied Biosystems instruments such as 7900HT, 7300, 7500, 7000, and 7700 Real-Time PCR Systems.

Flexible Offering

You can choose between different reporter dyes and quenchers for maximum flexibility:

• FAM™ dye-labeled TaqMan™ MGB probe (250 nM final concentration) and two unlabeled PCR primers (900 nM each)
• VIC™ dye-labeled TaqMan™ MGB probe (250 nM final concentration) and two unlabeled PCR primers (150 nM each, primer limited)
• VIC™ dye-labeled TAMRA™ probe (250 nM final concentration) and two unlabeled PCR primers (150 nM each, primer limited)

Choosing the Right Endogenous Control

Endogenous controls normalize target gene expression by correcting cDNA loading differences.
For best results, ensure consistent expression across all samples.
For multiplexing, the endogenous control gene should be more abundantly expressed than the target gene.

Multiplex vs. Singleplex PCR

All TaqMan™ Endogenous Controls with VIC™ dye-labeled probes are primer limited, allowing multiplexing with target gene assays if the control gene is more abundantly expressed.
Controls with FAM™ dye-labeled probes are not primer limited and are not intended for multiplexing.
