- For IHC: Epitope retrieval with citrate buffer (pH 6.0) is recommended for FFPE tissue sections.
Target Information
STAT2 is a member of the STAT protein family. In response to cytokines and growth factors, STAT family members are phosphorylated by receptor-associated kinases and form homo- or heterodimers that translocate to the nucleus to act as transcription activators.
Upon interferon (IFN) stimulation, STAT2 forms a complex with STAT1 and ISGF3G, acting as a transactivator without direct DNA binding. It interacts with transcription adaptor proteins P300/CBP (EP300/CREBBP) and may be involved in blocking IFN-alpha responses by adenovirus.
