Target Information
Slug은 Snail 계열의 C2H2-type zinc finger 전사 인자로, 상피-중배엽 전환(EMT) 및 신경관 형성 과정에 관여합니다. FGF, BMP, TGF-beta 등의 성장 인자에 의해 전사 유도되며, E-box 영역에 결합하여 E-cadherin 및 Claudin-1 등의 유전자를 억제합니다. 유방암, 식도암, 대장암 등에서 Slug 발현은 생존율 저하와 관련이 있으며, 또한 방사선 유도 세포사멸로부터 조혈모세포를 보호하는 역할을 합니다.
