EGFR (Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor)는 다양한 성장 인자에 반응하는 수용체 티로신 키나아제로, 여러 암종에서 과발현이 보고되었습니다. EGFR 유전자는 인간 7번 염색체에 위치하며 HER/ERbB 단백질 패밀리에 속합니다. EGF 및 TGF-α와 같은 리간드가 결합하면 EGFR은 이합체를 형성하고 세포질 도메인 내 티로신 잔기의 자가 인산화를 유도합니다. 과발현은 두경부, 뇌, 방광, 위, 유방, 폐, 자궁내막, 자궁경부, 난소 등 다양한 암종에서 관찰됩니다.
