Product Specific Information

The monoclonal antibody 20Raj1 recognizes the human Ki-67 protein, expressed in dividing cells (345 and 395 kDa isoforms). Ki-67 is detectable during active cell cycle phases (G1, S, G2, mitosis) and absent in resting cells (G0). During interphase, Ki-67 localizes to the nucleus and associates with heterochromatin-bound proteins such as CBX3 during mitosis. In tumor studies, Ki-67 serves as a marker for proliferating cell fraction.

This antibody also recognizes canine Ki-67.

Applications Reported: Intracellular staining for flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, and immunocytochemistry.
Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and tested by intracellular staining and flow cytometry using Foxp3/Transcription Factor Staining Buffer Set (Product #00-5523-00).
Use at 5 µL (0.06 µg) per test (final volume 100 µL; 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).
Excitation: 488 nm; Emission: 520 nm; Laser: Blue.
Filtered post-manufacturing (0.2 µm).

Target Information

Ki-67 is a nuclear protein expressed during the cell cycle (G1, S, G2, M phases) and absent in G0. It associates with euchromatin and heterochromatin regions and shows phase-specific localization. Ki-67 is widely used as a proliferation marker in tumor and neuronal studies, correlating with tumor grade and cell growth fraction.
