For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

This gene encodes a pyridine nucleotide oxidoreductase family member. The protein reduces thioredoxins and other substrates, playing a role in selenium metabolism and protection against oxidative stress.
The functional enzyme is a homodimer utilizing FAD as a cofactor. Each subunit contains a selenocysteine (Sec) residue essential for catalytic activity, encoded by the UGA codon.
The 3′ UTR of selenocysteine-containing genes includes a SECIS stem-loop structure enabling UGA recognition as Sec rather than a stop codon.
Alternative splicing produces multiple transcript variants encoding identical or distinct isoforms.
