Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

The ZBTB family comprises diverse zinc finger proteins containing a BTB (BR-C, ttk, and bab) domain.
Similar to Kaiso, ZBTB4 binds methylated DNA and represses transcription.
ZBTB4 associates with the Sin3/histone deacetylase co-repressor complex and represses expression of P21CIP1 as part of a heterodimeric complex with Miz1.
Depletion of ZBTB4 promotes cell cycle arrest in response to p53 activation and suppresses apoptosis via regulation of P21CIP1, indicating ZBTB4 as a key determinant of the cellular p53 response.
HIPK2 phosphorylates and down-regulates ZBTB4 under normal conditions, with degradation increasing upon DNA damage.
