Target Information
SSR3 (signal sequence receptor, gamma), also known as TRAPG, encodes a 185-amino acid membrane protein expressed as a 20-kDa polypeptide. It spans the membrane four times and associates with SSR1, SSR2, and SSR4 in pancreatic microsomes.
Hartmann et al. (1993) identified SSR3 (Trap-gamma) through immunoaffinity purification and cDNA screening.
Gross (2012) mapped the SSR3 gene to chromosome 3q25.31 (GRCh37).
