Product Specific Information
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned and screened to select optimal candidates.

Target Information
The SKP1 gene encodes a component of SCF complexes, which consist of SKP1, cullin 1, a ring-box protein, and an F-box family protein.
SKP1 binds directly to the F-box motif in F-box proteins. SCF complexes mediate regulated ubiquitination of specific substrates, targeting them for proteasomal degradation.
These substrates include regulators of cell cycle progression and development.
SKP1 also functions as an RNA polymerase II elongation factor.
Alternative splicing produces two transcript variants, and a related pseudogene exists on chromosome 7.
