Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
LAG-3 (CD223) is a 70 kDa surface glycoprotein of the immunoglobulin superfamily, homologous to CD4.
It binds MHC class II with higher affinity than CD4 and negatively regulates T cell activation and homeostatic proliferation.
LAG-3 is expressed on activated T cells (including regulatory T cells) and NK cells, with CD8+ T cells showing higher expression levels than CD4+ T cells.
Coexpression of LAG-3 and CD49b identifies Type 1 regulatory T cells (Tr1 cells) in human and mouse.
