CHEK2 (CHK2)는 DNA 손상 체크포인트 경로의 구성 요소인 세린/트레오닌 키나아제입니다. CHK2의 돌연변이는 암과 연관되어 있으며, DNA 손상 시 활성화되어 세포 주기 조절 단백질 및 종양 억제 단백질을 인산화합니다. 또한 BRCA1을 인산화하여 DNA 손상 후 생존을 회복하도록 돕습니다. CHK2는 잠재적 종양 억제 단백질로, TP53 유전자 돌연변이와 관련된 Li-Fraumeni 증후군 및 유전적 암(육종, 유방암, 뇌종양 등)과 연관되어 있습니다.
