Target Information
Isocitrate dehydrogenases (IDH) catalyze the oxidative decarboxylation of isocitrate to 2-oxoglutarate. These enzymes are divided into NAD(+)-dependent and NADP(+)-dependent subclasses. The human IDH1 enzyme is NADP(+)-dependent and localized in the cytoplasm and peroxisomes, playing a key role in NADPH regeneration for cellular redox balance. The IDH1 R132H mutation is frequently observed in gliomas and other cancers, and this antibody specifically detects the mutant form of IDH1 (R132H).
