PA1-4167 detects the FLASH protein in Human, rat, and mouse samples.
PA1-4167 has been successfully used in Western blot procedures. By Western blot this antibody detects a ~212 kDa protein representing FLASH in NIH3T3 cells.
The PA1-4167 immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues A(19) S P L K N N D E G S L D(31) of mouse FLASH.
Maintain at 4ºC for 3 months or at -20ºC for longer periods. Stable for 1 year. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Target Information
This protein is highly similar to FLASH, a mouse apoptotic protein identified by its interaction with the death-effector domain (DED) of caspase 8. Studies of FLASH protein suggested that this protein may be a component of the death-inducing signaling complex that includes Fas receptor, Fas-binding adapter FADD, and caspase 8, and plays a regulatory role in Fas-mediated apoptosis. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding the same protein.
