Target Information
Mouse DcTRAILR1 and DcTRAILR2 (decoy TRAIL receptors 1 and 2) are receptors for TRAIL according to ligand-receptor binding assays (Schneider et al., 2001). However, overexpression does not activate NF-kB or induce apoptosis, suggesting their function as decoy receptors.
Cells expressing high levels of these decoy receptors may use them as protection against TRAIL-induced cytotoxicity (Bouralexis et al., 2005).
DcTRAILR1 is a 176 amino acid protein (GenBank No: NP-077252.2), and DcTRAILR2 is a 198 amino acid protein (GenBank No: AAN87807.1).
