Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Cytokeratin 8 (CK8) is a member of the type II keratin family located on the long arm of chromosome 12. Type I and type II keratins form heteropolymers that create intermediate-sized filaments in epithelial cells.
CK8 typically pairs with keratin 18 to form filaments in simple epithelial tissues, contributing to cellular structural integrity, signal transduction, and differentiation.
Mutations in this gene are associated with cryptogenic cirrhosis.
