This antibody has specificity for H9N2 Hemagglutinin (HA).

Target Information

Influenza viruses consist of three types (Influenza A, B, and C), which make up three of the five genera in the Orthomyxoviridae family. Commonly known as the flu, influenza strains can affect both birds and mammals.
Influenza virions are roughly spherical and contain a viral envelope with two main glycoproteins (hemagglutinin and neuraminidase), surrounding the central core of the viral RNA genome and associated proteins.
The influenza genome is segmented into seven to eight fragments of negative-sense RNA, each encoding distinct viral proteins.
Influenza spreads seasonally, causing millions of severe cases and hundreds of thousands of deaths annually, with higher mortality during pandemic years.
