This HRP-conjugated affinity purified antibody is directed against human ERK2 protein.
Cross-reactivity is expected with human, mouse, and rat based on sequence identity of the peptide immunogen.
This antibody does not react with the ERK1 isoform.

Target Information

MAPK1 (ERK2) is a serine/threonine kinase that acts as an important activator of p90 RSK, MSK, ELK1, and Stat3, and is involved in the MAPK pathway.
MAP kinases (ERKs) act as an integration point for multiple biochemical signals and are involved in a wide variety of cellular processes such as:

• Proliferation
• Differentiation
• Transcription regulation
• Development

Activation of ERK2 requires phosphorylation by upstream kinases. Upon activation, ERK2 translocates to the nucleus of stimulated cells where it phosphorylates nuclear targets.
