Target Information
Post Synaptic Density 95 kDa (PSD-95), also known as Synapse Associated Protein 90 kDa (SAP90), is a membrane-associated protein found in the postsynaptic density of forebrain neurons and certain presynaptic structures in the cerebellum.
PSD-95 contains three PDZ domains, an SH3 domain, and a guanylate kinase homology (GuK) domain. It participates in clustering of NMDA receptors and Shaker-type potassium channels at the synaptic membrane in CNS neurons.
Interactions occur via C-terminal T/SXV motifs or PDZ domain associations, including with nNOS through PDZ-PDZ interaction.
