Target Information
STAT3는 STAT (Signal Transducers and Activators of Transcription) 단백질 계열에 속하며, 수용체 관련 키나아제에 의해 인산화되어 핵으로 이동 후 전사인자로 작용합니다. STAT3는 인터페론-알파, 인터페론-감마, EGF, PDGF, IL6 등에 의해 활성화될 수 있으며, JAK1과 JAK2에 의한 티로신 705번 잔기의 인산화가 STAT3 이합체 형성 및 핵 내 이동, DNA 결합 활성에 필수적입니다. 인간의 STAT3 유전자는 염색체 17번의 q arm에 위치하며, 세포 성장과 세포자멸사 등 다양한 세포 과정에 관여합니다. PIAS3 단백질은 STAT3의 특이적 억제 인자로 알려져 있으며, STAT3 유전자의 결실은 생쥐 배아 단계에서 치명적입니다.
