- 1 µg/mL of MA5-27693 was sufficient for detection of GluN2A/NR2A in 20 µg of COS cells transiently transfected with GFP-tagged NR2A lysate by colorimetric immunoblot analysis using Goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody.
- Detects approximately 170 kDa.
- Does not react with NR2B.
- This antibody was formerly sold as clone S327A-38.
Target Information
N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptors are ionotropic glutamate-gated ion channels involved in long-term potentiation, a mechanism underlying synaptic plasticity, memory, and learning. NMDA receptor channels are heteromers composed of NMDAR1 (GRIN1) and one or more of the four NMDAR2 subunits (NMDAR2A–D). Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified for this gene.
