Target Information
FOXP3 (Forkhead box protein 3)는 포유류에서 고도로 보존된 전사 조절 인자이며, 정상적인 면역 항상성 유지에 필수적입니다.
이 단백질은 CD25⁺ CD4⁺ 조절 T세포에서 높은 수준으로 발현되고, CD4⁺/CD25⁻ 세포에서는 낮은 수준, CD4⁻/CD8⁺ T세포에서는 발현되지 않습니다.
FOXP3는 조절 T세포의 특이적 마커로 간주되며, FOXP3 유전자 결함은 인간에서 IPEX 증후군(면역 이상, 다내분비증, 장병증, X-연관 증후군)과 관련이 있습니다.
또한 인간 유방 및 대장암 세포에서 FOXP3 발현은 DNA 손상 반응 중 p53에 의해 조절됩니다.
