Target Information
Ubiquitin은 세포 내 단백질을 26S proteasome을 통해 분해 대상으로 지정하는 고도로 보존된 단백질입니다. 이 유전자는 N말단의 ubiquitin과 C말단의 ribosomal protein S27a가 결합된 융합 단백질을 암호화합니다. 효모에서 발현 시 번역 후 처리되어 자유 ubiquitin 단량체와 ribosomal protein S27a를 생성합니다. Ribosomal protein S27a는 40S 리보솜 소단위의 구성 요소이며, S27AE 가족에 속하고 C4-type zinc finger 도메인을 포함하며 세포질에 위치합니다. 이 유전자로부터 유래한 유사유전자가 존재하며, ribosomal protein L40과 S30도 ubiquitin 또는 ubiquitin-like 단백질과 융합된 형태로 합성됩니다. 여러 대체 스플라이싱 전사체가 동일한 단백질을 암호화하는 것으로 확인되었습니다.
