Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned and expressed, and individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
RNA polymerase II is the enzyme responsible for synthesizing mRNA and many non-coding RNAs. The POLR2A gene encodes the RNA polymerase II subunit B1 (RPB1), the largest subunit of RNA polymerase II.
The C-terminal domain (CTD) of RPB1 contains tandem heptapeptide repeats (YSPTSPS). Phosphorylation and other modifications within this sequence regulate the recruitment of factors involved in the transcription cycle.
Phosphorylation of Serine-2 and Serine-5 residues within the CTD coordinates the recruitment of RNA processing factors to the elongation complex.
