Target Information

This gene encodes a member of the regulator of G-protein signaling (RGS) family.
This protein is a GTPase-activating protein that inhibits G-protein mediated signal transduction.
It is largely cytosolic, but translocates to the plasma membrane upon G-protein activation.
A nuclear form has also been described, though its sequence remains unidentified.
Multiple alternatively spliced variants exist, but not all full-length sequences are known.
