Target Information
This gene encodes a protein identified in a screen for genes expressed in metastatic cells, particularly in mammary adenocarcinoma cell lines. Expression correlates with metastatic potential in certain carcinomas but is also present in normal tissues. The protein is associated with transcriptional regulation through chromatin remodeling and may be part of a nucleosome remodeling deacetylase complex (NuRD). It contains DNA-binding, dimerization, and methylation-related domains.
