For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7 K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
The BTRC gene encodes a member of the F-box protein family characterized by an approximately 40 amino acid F-box motif.
F-box proteins form part of the ubiquitin ligase complex (SCF complex: SKP1–Cullin–F-box), which mediates phosphorylation-dependent ubiquitination.
They are classified into three groups:
- Fbws – containing WD-40 domains
- Fbls – containing leucine-rich repeats
- Fbxs – containing other interaction modules or no recognizable motifs
The BTRC protein belongs to the Fbws class and contains multiple WD-40 repeats. It is homologous to Xenopus bTrCP1, yeast Met30, Neurospora Scon2, and Drosophila Slimb proteins.
BTRC interacts with HIV-1 Vpu, linking CD4 to the proteolytic machinery, and associates with phosphorylated IκBα and β-catenin destruction motifs. It likely participates in transcriptional regulation by activating the NF-κB pathway and inhibiting the β-catenin pathway.
