Target Information
Thyroid Peroxidase (TPO)는 막 결합 당단백질로, 갑상선 기능에 필수적인 효소입니다. Tyrosine 잔기의 요오드화 및 요오드화된 tyrosine 간의 결합 형성을 촉매하여 thyroxine과 triiodothyronine과 같은 갑상선 호르몬 생성을 담당합니다.
이 유전자 변이는 선천성 갑상선 기능저하증, 선천성 갑상선종, 갑상선 호르몬 합성 결함 IIA 등의 질환을 유발할 수 있습니다.
여러 전사체 변이가 보고되었으며, 일부는 완전 길이가 확인되지 않았습니다.
