Target Information
이 유전자가 암호화하는 단백질은 basement membrane 단백질 계열에 속하는 라미닌(laminin)으로, β 서브유닛을 구성합니다. α 및 γ 서브유닛과 함께 라미닌-5를 형성하며, 이 유전자의 돌연변이는 피부 수포성 질환인 epidermolysis bullosa junctional Herlitz type 및 generalized atrophic benign epidermolysis bullosa를 유발할 수 있습니다.
여러 가지 대체 스플라이싱 전사체가 존재하지만 동일한 단백질을 암호화합니다.
