Product Specific Information
- For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve ~1 mg/mL antibody concentration.
- For conjugation experiments, perform additional desalting using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL (Product #89882).
Target Information
CCL19, also known as MIP-3β (Macrophage Inflammatory Protein 3 beta), is a member of the CC chemokine subfamily. It shares 32% amino acid sequence homology with CCL21 and is expressed mainly by stromal cells in T cell-rich zones of lymph nodes.
CCL19 and CCL21 mediate homeostatic trafficking of naive T cells and activated dendritic cells into secondary lymphoid organs, playing roles in T cell priming, activation, and lymphocyte recruitment to inflamed tissue.
Both signal via the CCR7 receptor, expressed on T cells and mature dendritic cells. While both bind CCR7 with equal affinity, only CCL19 binding induces receptor desensitization and internalization.
