Product Specific Information

The mShad150 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD150, an ~70 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein also known as Signaling Lymphocyte Activation Molecule (SLAM).
CD150 is expressed by T cells (particularly Th1) and B cells, and is rapidly upregulated upon activation. Immature thymocytes and dendritic cells also express this antigen.
Signaling through SLAM in T cells induces proliferation and enhances interferon-gamma response. It also mediates adhesion between T cells and antigen-presenting cells.
The mShad150 antibody has been reported to stain the CD150⁺CD244⁻CD48⁻CD41⁻ population of pluripotent hematopoietic stem cells.

Applications Tested: Tested on mouse splenocytes at ≤0.125 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Optimal titration recommended.

Target Information

CD150 (SLAM, Signaling Lymphocyte Activation Molecule) belongs to the immunoglobulin gene superfamily and is involved in T cell stimulation.
It is expressed on peripheral blood memory T cells, immature thymocytes, and subsets of B cells, and is rapidly induced after activation.
SLAM signaling enhances B cell activation and differentiation and may serve as a receptor for the measles virus.
CD150 interacts with SH2D1A and PTPN11 through its cytoplasmic domain.
Mutations in the CD150 gene may be associated with X-linked lymphoproliferative disease (XLP).
