Target Information
Probable molecular chaperone that assists in the folding of proteins upon ATP hydrolysis. As part of the BBS/CCT complex, it may play a role in the assembly of the BBSome, which is involved in ciliogenesis and regulates vesicle transport to the cilia. It may also contribute to protein processing in limb, cardiac, and reproductive system development, as well as cytokinesis.
