This antibody recognizes the chicken homologue of human CSF1R, also known as CD115, CSF-1R, M-CSF receptor, and c-fms.
CSF1R is a single-pass type I transmembrane protein belonging to the type III protein kinase family and serves as the cell surface receptor for both CSF1 and IL-34.

Target Information

CSF1R (FMS) is involved in the production, differentiation, and function of macrophages and is implicated in promyelocytic leukemias.
Ligand binding activates the receptor kinase through oligomerization and transphosphorylation.
CSF1R is a tyrosine kinase transmembrane receptor and a member of the CSF1/PDGF receptor family of tyrosine-protein kinases.
Mutations in the CSF1R gene are associated with a predisposition to myeloid malignancy.
It acts as a cell-surface receptor for CSF1 and IL34, regulating survival, proliferation, and differentiation of hematopoietic precursor cells, particularly mononuclear phagocytes such as macrophages and monocytes.
It promotes the release of proinflammatory chemokines in response to IL34 and CSF1, playing an important role in innate immunity and inflammatory processes.
The first intron of the CSF1R gene contains a transcriptionally inactive ribosomal protein L7 processed pseudogene oriented in the opposite direction.
