Target Information
GAPVD1은 GTPase-activating protein (GAP) 및 guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF)로 작용하며, 엔도사이토시스, 인슐린 수용체 내재화, GLUT4 수송 등 다양한 세포 과정에 관여합니다. RAB31 단백질에 대해 GEF로 작용하여 GDP를 GTP로 교환함으로써 GLUT4 수송을 조절합니다. 인슐린이 없는 상태에서는 RAB31을 활성 상태로 유지하여 GLUT4를 세포 내에 보유하게 하며, 인슐린 자극 시에는 세포막으로 이동하여 GLUT4를 방출합니다. 또한 EGFR의 유비퀴틴화 및 프로테아좀 분해를 촉진하여 EGFR 수송 및 분해에도 관여합니다. Rab5에 대한 GEF 활성과 Ras에 대한 GAP 활성도 가집니다.
