Target Information
Nectin-3 is an 83 kDa type I transmembrane glycoprotein and a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily. It functions as a calcium-independent cell-cell adhesion molecule and interacts with other nectins to form various junctions such as adherens junctions, synaptic junctions, and Sertoli cell-spermatid junctions. Nectin-3 is predominantly expressed in testis and placental tissues and interacts with afadin at cadherin-based cell-cell adherence junctions. It also exhibits strong affinity with CD155 (Poliovirus Receptor).
