Clone M052 mouse monoclonal antibody detects a 38–58 kDa protein on SDS-PAGE immunoblots of human SK-MES1, MDA-MB-231, MeWo, A431, LNCaP, and NCI-H1915 cells, as well as human brain tissues.
This antibody is suitable for Western blot and ELISA detection of CD147.

Target Information

CD147 (also known as basigin, neurothelin, OX-47, 5A11, CE9, M6, EMMPRIN, extracellular matrix metalloproteinase inducer, TCSF, tumour cell-derived collagenase-stimulatory factor) is a 50–60 kDa glycoprotein with multiple glycosylated forms.
It is a plasma membrane protein involved in spermatogenesis, embryo implantation, neural network formation, and tumor progression.
CD147 belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily and is highly expressed on metabolically active cells such as lymphoblasts, inflammatory cells, brown adipocytes, and malignant tumor cells.
It facilitates cell surface expression of monocarboxylate transporter proteins and extracellular matrix metalloproteinases, regulates integrin functions, and plays roles in cell development, activation, fetal development, and retinal function.
