Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

The QPRT gene encodes a key enzyme in the catabolism of quinolinate, an intermediate in the tryptophan–nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide pathway.
Quinolinate is a potent endogenous excitotoxin to neurons. Elevated quinolinate levels in the brain are associated with neurodegenerative disorders such as epilepsy, Alzheimer’s disease, and Huntington’s disease.
Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
