Target Information
FOXL2는 인간, 염소, 생쥐 및 일부 수생 생물에서 고도로 보존된 winged helix/forkhead 전사 인자로, 포유류 난소 분화 및 여포 발달 유지에 중요한 역할을 합니다. 면역조직화학 분석 결과 FOXL2는 핵 단백질로서 눈꺼풀과 태아 및 성체 난소 여포 세포에서 특이적으로 발현됩니다. 주요 번역 후 변형은 없으며, BPES(blepharophimosis/ptosis/epicanthus inverses syndrome)와 관련이 있습니다. BPES는 두 가지 형태로 나타나며, Type I은 난소 기능 저하를 동반하고 Type II는 눈꺼풀 이상만을 보입니다. 생쥐의 발달 중 눈꺼풀 중간엽과 성체 난소 여포에서 FOXL2 발현이 관찰됩니다.
