This antibody is predicted to react with Monkey, Horse, and Sheep.
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information

AXL is a chronic myelogenous leukemia-associated oncogene also linked to colon cancer and melanoma. The AXL protein is a receptor tyrosine kinase that transduces signals from the extracellular matrix into the cytoplasm by binding growth factors such as GAS6. It plays roles in cell proliferation and apoptotic cell clearance.
Deficiency of TAM receptors in mice leads to degenerative and autoimmune phenotypes similar to systemic lupus erythematosus.
AXL may serve as an entry receptor for filoviruses and is used to identify specific dendritic cell subpopulations (Siglec 6+/Axl+).
Expression of AXL can be upregulated by TLR ligands (e.g., LPS, poly I:C). Soluble AXL is produced by proteolytic cleavage, and elevated plasma levels may indicate inflammation or cancer.
