• Reacts with light chains of goat IgG and common light chains of goat immunoglobulins, but not with Fc portion or non-immunoglobulin serum proteins.
• May cross-react with immunoglobulins from other species.
• Store at 4°C until opened. For extended storage, mix with equal volume of glycerol (final ~50%) and store at -20°C.
• Reconstitute with 1.5 mL distilled water (final concentration ~1.3 mg/mL, lot-dependent).

Target Information

Anti-Goat secondary antibodies are affinity-purified and specific for goat immunoglobulins. They are used for detection, sorting, or purification of target proteins. Secondary antibodies enhance sensitivity via signal amplification, as multiple secondaries can bind to one primary antibody. These antibodies are produced by immunizing host animals with pooled immunoglobulins and may be further purified or modified (e.g., immunoaffinity chromatography, fragmentation, conjugation) for high specificity.
