Secondary antibody는 다양한 검출 시스템(HRP, AP, fluorescence 등)과 함께 사용할 수 있으며, 여러 개의 secondary antibody가 하나의 primary antibody에 결합함으로써 신호를 증폭시켜 감도를 높일 수 있습니다.
일반적으로 host 동물에 target 종의 immunoglobulin을 면역시켜 생성하며, 이후 면역친화 크로마토그래피, 항체 절편화, 라벨 결합 등을 통해 높은 특이성을 가진 시약으로 정제됩니다.
