Product Specific Information
The Avas12a1 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse Flk-1 (VEGFR2), a receptor tyrosine kinase involved in vascular endothelial tissue development. It is expressed on endothelial cells during embryogenesis and in some adult endothelial tissues.
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested by flow cytometric analysis of bEnd.3 cells. Recommended ≤1.0 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Cell number may range from 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test. Antibody should be titrated for optimal performance.
Fluorochrome Information:
Super Bright 436 is excited with the 405 nm violet laser and emits at 436 nm. Recommended detection filter: 450/50 bandpass or equivalent. Ensure instrument compatibility.
When using multiple Super Bright dye-conjugated antibodies, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401) to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.

Target Information
KDR (FLK1, VEGFR2) is a type III receptor tyrosine kinase that binds vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) with high affinity. It is expressed early in development by endothelial precursors. Signaling and trafficking are regulated by multiple factors including Rab GTPase, P2Y purine nucleotide receptor, integrin αVβ3, and T-cell protein tyrosine phosphatase. Mutations are associated with infantile capillary hemangiomas.
