Product Specific Information
The B20.1 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse T-cell receptor (TCR) V alpha 2 chains, recognizing the majority of the TCR V alpha 2 subfamily in mice carrying the a, b, and c haplotypes. It also reacts with TCR V delta 8 products due to high homology.
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Tested on mouse lymph node cells at ≤0.5 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Recommended Fc receptor blocking with 0.5 µg purified anti-mouse CD16/32 (Product #14-0161-42). Antibody titration is advised for optimal performance.
Super Bright 436 is excited by the violet laser (405 nm) and emits at 436 nm. Use a 450/50 bandpass filter or equivalent. Ensure instrument compatibility.
When using multiple Super Bright dye-conjugated antibodies, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product #SB-4401) to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.

Target Information
T-cell receptors (TCR) discriminate foreign from self-peptides presented by MHC class II molecules, crucial for adaptive immunity. TCR recognition of self-peptides is linked to autoimmune diseases and tumor-associated mutations. Superantigen engagement of TCRs can cause toxic shock syndrome. Autoantibodies to TCR V beta segments are found in rheumatoid arthritis and SLE, potentially modulating inflammatory responses. Most human T cells express TCR alpha-beta and either CD4 or CD8; gamma-delta T cells, found mainly in epithelia, exhibit distinct antigen recognition and immunoregulatory activity.
