Product Specific Information

This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%) to avoid contamination.

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned and screened to select the best candidates.

Advantages of recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies:

  • Improved specificity and sensitivity
  • Lot-to-lot consistency
  • Animal origin-free formulations
  • Broader immunoreactivity to diverse targets due to the larger rabbit immune repertoire

This antibody is specific for Mouse EPHA1/EPH receptor A1.

Target Information

EphA1 belongs to the ephrin receptor subfamily of the protein-tyrosine kinase family. EPH and EPH-related receptors are involved in mediating developmental events, particularly in the nervous system.
These receptors typically contain a single kinase domain and an extracellular region with a cysteine-rich domain and two fibronectin type III repeats. Ephrin receptors are divided into two groups based on extracellular domain sequence similarity and ligand-binding affinity (ephrin-A or ephrin-B). EphA1 is expressed in some human cancer cell lines and has been implicated in carcinogenesis.
