Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
The urokinase-type plasminogen activator receptor (uPAR) is a key molecule in regulating cell-surface plasminogen activation and plays an important role in both normal and pathological processes.
Human PLAUR cDNA encodes 335 amino acids, including a predicted signal peptide of 22 residues and a hydrophobic C-terminal portion. It produces a highly glycosylated ~50 kDa protein in monocytes, anchored to the plasma membrane via glycosyl-phosphatidylinositol linkage.
PLAUR (also known as uPAR) associates with the carbohydrate-binding domain of SELL on neutrophil membranes, similar to its interaction with β2 integrins. PLAUR-mediated calcium mobilization is SELL-dependent.
uPAR mRNA levels correlate with invasive potential in endometrial carcinomas, showing up to a 33-fold increase in advanced stages compared to normal tissue. Increased uPAR expression correlates with disease progression, recurrence, and mortality, making it a potential prognostic marker for advanced endometrial cancer.
