Target Information
MIG (CXCL9) is a T-cell chemoattractant induced by gamma interferon and a member of the CXC chemokine family. This gene is located on chromosome 4q21. Chemokines primarily act as chemotactic factors but also influence T-cell activation, angiogenesis, and HIV infection. Unlike most CXC chemokines that attract neutrophils, MIG and IP-10 are chemotactic for lymphocytes and inactive in neutrophils.
