CYP2F1은 cytochrome P450 초계열에 속하는 효소로, 약물 대사 및 콜레스테롤, 스테로이드, 기타 지질 합성에 관여하는 monooxygenase 반응을 촉매합니다. 이 단백질은 소포체에 위치하며, tryptophan 발효로부터 유래된 내인성 독소인 3-methylindole 및 naphthalene, ethoxycoumarin과 같은 외인성 기질을 탈수소화하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
