ONECUT2 is a member of the ONECUT class of transcription factors, whose prototype is hepatocyte nuclear factor (HNF)-6. In humans, OC-2 mRNA expression is tissue-restricted, with strongest expression in liver and skin. ONECUT2 participates in the transcriptional network required for liver differentiation and metabolism.
