Target Information
CLEC4M은 type II integral membrane protein으로, HIV gp120-binding protein인 CD209 항원과 77%의 서열 유사성을 가집니다. CD209와 유사하게 ICAM3 및 HIV-1 gp120과 결합하여 T 세포의 HIV-1 감염을 강화합니다.
이 유전자는 19p13.3 염색체 상에 위치하며, CD209 및 CD23/FCER2 유전자와 클러스터를 형성합니다. 여러 가지 alternative splicing 변이가 존재하나, 일부 변이의 생물학적 유효성은 아직 확인되지 않았습니다.
Western blot 분석에서 서로 다른 두 항체로 동일한 분자량을 확인하였습니다.
